On 22 May 2025, Thursday, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) came up with an announcement by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Asia Index Private Limited. As per the announcement, there will be a major reconstitution of the BSE indices, and it will be effective from 23 June 2025. This BSE indices rejig will include the BSE Sensex index as well.
BSE Sensex Rejig
The thirty-stock index BSE Sensex will see new constituents from 23 June after the reshuffle of the index gets implemented. The stocks that will be replaced include –
- Nestle India
- IndusInd Bank
These two stocks will be replaced by the following two stocks in the BSE Sensex –
- Trent Ltd. (Tata Group)
- Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL)
From 23 June 2025, these two shares will be available under the BSE Sensex index, and you can track and observe them as the new constituents of the index.
Other BSE Indices Rejig
It is not only about Sensex Rejig 2025. There are other major BSE indices that are getting reconstituted. Here are the details of the stocks replacing the current constituents of these indices.
BSE 100
- Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd. will replace Bharat Forge Ltd.
- Coforge Ltd. will replace Dabur India Ltd.
- Indus Towers Ltd. will replace Siemens Ltd.
BSE Sensex 50
- Interglobe Aviation Ltd. will be replacing Britannia Industries Ltd.
- Shriram Finance Ltd. will substitute Hero MotoCorp Ltd.
BSE Sensex Next 50
- Britannia Industries Ltd. will replace Interglobe Aviation Ltd.
- Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd. will take in place of Shriram Finance Ltd.
- Coforge Ltd. will replace Bharat Forge Ltd.
- Hero MotoCorp Ltd. will substitute Dabur India Ltd.
- Indus Towers Ltd. will replace Siemens Ltd.
BSE Bankex
- IDFC First Bank Ltd. will replace Canara Bank

So, as you can see above, the five most important BSE indices have been reshuffled. The reconstituted index will be available for tracking and trading from 23 June.
