Now, to be eligible, a shareholder must hold the shares of the company as on the record date. So, to be eligible for the Nuvama Wealth stock split, you need to purchase the stocks of the company by 24 December, as 25 December is a holiday in the Indian stock market for Christmas. As the t+1 settlement cycle is followed, if you purchase on 24 December, then on 26 December, it will reflect in your account, making you eligible for the stock split.

The Nuvama Wealth stock split was approved by the Nuvama Wealth management in the previous month. Here are the details you must know – 

  • Stock Split Ratio: 1:5 – This means if you hold 1 Nuvama Wealth share on the record date, you will receive 5 shares after the stock split. Each of the fully-paid equity shares will be divided into five shares. 
  • Face Value: The face value of each Nuvama Wealth share will be reduced to ₹2 from the current face value of ₹10 per share. 
  • Current Fully paid-up equity shares: 385.69 crore

Effect on Nuvama Wealth Share Price 

This is Nuvama Wealth’s first-ever stock split. While the impact of a stock split may not be there on the business or company fundamentals but the Nuvama Wealth share price would be impacted significantly. This, in turn, can affect the trading patterns for the company as well as the valuation metrics. 

The current price of the Nuvama Wealth share is around ₹7060 per share, which has declined close to 4% in the past month post the stock split announcement. In the past year, it has offered around a 2.7% return, and today the stock is 3.36% down.
