Rainbow Hospital History

It all began on 14th November 1999, when Rainbow Children’s Hospital took its first step. It was done with Rainbow Hospital Pediatric Care at Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.

This single establishment marked the start of a transformative journey for Rainbow Medicare!

In the early days, Rainbow’s mission was simple—to offer compassionate care to children. And so, it wasn’t long before their facility in Banjara Hills grew into a tertiary care centre.

The year 2007 brought a significant breakthrough when Rainbow expanded its services to include perinatal care.

They did it through “BirthRight by Rainbow Hospitals”.

This new addition of Rainbow Children’s Hospital focused on the critical needs of mothers and babies. It was an early sign of Rainbow’s commitment to holistic healthcare.

By 2009, Rainbow had already extended its reach, opening a new hospital at Vikrampuri. And just a year later, in 2010, they opened their first outpatient clinic in Madhapur.

The network of care was growing rapidly with Rainbow Children’s Hospitals. Another addition came in with a new hospital opening in Kondapur in 2013. This was followed by hospitals in Hydernagar and Marathahalli in 2015.

In 2016, they established a hospital on Bannerghatta Road in Bangalore. By this time, the hospital network had become a trusted name known for its dedication to providing children with the best care.

A major milestone came in 2017, when Rainbow Children’s Hospital expanded beyond Hyderabad and Bangalore, opening Madhukar Rainbow Hospital in New Delhi.

In 2018, Rainbow came into the limelight with the creation of the Rainbow Children’s Heart Institute (RCHI), a dedicated pediatric cardiac centre.

As the years rolled on, Rainbow Children’s Hospital continued its rapid expansion. In 2019, it was a year of growth for the organisation—Rosewalk Healthcare Private Limited, one of its subsidiaries, received its certificate of establishment, while the hospital launched an outpatient and IVF facility at Kondapur.

By 2020, Rainbow expanded further into Byatarayanapura village, Yelahanka, and Hubli, Bengaluru.

As their presence grew, so did their reputation for excellence.

In 2021, they relocated and expanded the Vikrampuri Hospital.

The hospitals’ footprint continued to expand in 2023, with new units opened in Himayat Nagar and Financial District.

By 2024, Rainbow Children’s Hospital reached even greater heights, with new units opened in Sarjapur and Annanagar and a new clinic at Hennur.

From its humble beginnings to its vast network of 19 hospitals and four clinics across 6 cities, Rainbow Children’s Hospital continues to lead the way in pediatric healthcare.

Throughout this incredible journey, Rainbow Children’s Hospital has evolved into much more than just a healthcare provider.

The rest, as they say, is history, and Rainbow Children’s Hospital continues to shape the future of pediatric healthcare in India.
