Some of the top banking and financial services have already posted their Q4 earnings, and as of now, we see most of these results are on the positive side of the spectrum. Having said that, there are also a handful of these financial services which has seen a drastic fall in their profits, and some have even seen losses for the quarter. RBI’s liquidity influx and repo rate cut have brought some relief to this sector, though. Today, we will focus on seven stocks from the banking and finance sector for our quarterly results review.
- Axis Bank: In our list for Banking and Finance Q4 results, we have Axis Bank, which has posted a rise in its revenue for the quarter by 7% YoY, however, its net profit dipped by 1% during the quarter (YoY). Having said that, the net profit has surged significantly on a QoQ basis and stands at ₹7489 crore for Q4FY25. Another crucial factor for this bank is that the Net NPA has reduced to 0.33% from 0.35% in the previous quarter. In the past month, the share price of this bank has surged by around 8%.
- ICICI Bank: This largest private sector bank has posted its returns for the fourth quarter FY25, and its revenue has increased 13% YoY, net profit by 19% YoY. On QoQ basis, the net profit surged from ₹13828 crores to ₹14323 crore. The Net NPA has dipped from 0.42% to 0.39% on QoQ basis. The share price of this bank has moved up by around 6% in the past month.
- HDFC Bank: The third on this Banking sector Q4 results list is HDFC Bank, which posted a surge in its revenue by 9% during the quarter on a YoY basis while its net profit surged 7% during the period. The EPS for the quarter rose to ₹24.62 from the previous quarter’s ₹23.11. Net profit for the quarter surged to ₹19284 crore from the previous quarter’s ₹18340 crore. However, there has been a significant rise in the Net NPA in this Q4FY25 for this bank, it increased to 0.43% from 0.33% in Q4FY24 but dipped from 0.46% in Q3FY25. The share price of HDFC Bank has surged around 5% over the past month.
- Yes Bank: While the revenue of this private sector bank has just surged by 2% YoY in Q4FY25 but the net profit jumped by 59% during the quarter on a YoY basis. The net profit has surged from ₹467 crore in Q4FY24 to ₹744 crore in Q4FY25 and from ₹619 crore in Q3FY25. There has been a drastic fall in the Net NPA of this bank, that is from 0.60% in Q4FY24 to 0.30% in this Jan-Mar 2025 quarter. The share price of the bank has surged by around 6.9% during the past month.
- Bank of Maharashtra: This PSU bank announced a 22% rise in its net profit in Q4FY25 to ₹1493 crore from ₹1217 crore in Q4FY24. The revenue has surged by 23% YoY, and the Interest income rose from ₹5466 crore to ₹ 6730 crore YoY. The net NPA has dropped by a little to 0.18% from 0.20 a year and even a quarter ago.
- Chola Invest.: Coming to the Finance sector results, Cholamandalam Investment witnessed a jump in its net profit by 20% to ₹1259 crore in Q4FY25 from ₹1049 crore of Q4FY24. The revenue for the quarter jumped 29% YoY from ₹5428 crore to ₹7046 crore. The EPS of the firm increased to ₹14.98 in March 2025 quarter from ₹12.95 in the previous quarter. The share price has moved only around 0.33% upward during the past month.
- LT Finance: This financial service company has posted a 15% rise in its net profit to ₹636 crore from ₹553 crore a year back during the corresponding quarter. The revenue has surged from ₹3671 crore in Q4FY24 to ₹4022 crore in Q4FY25 however, it dipped from the previous quarter, that is Q3FY25, when it was at ₹4097 crore. The EPS moved a bit to ₹2.55 from its previous quarter’s ₹2.51. In the past month, the share price of this firm increased by around 8.9%.

So, as you can see the Banking and finance Q4 results have been pretty positive until now and the share prices have been moving upward in the previous one month while the overall market sentiment is bearish. Having said that, there are many companies from the sector which are yet to announce their results and then we can have a complete overview for the quarter’s performance.
