Guide to Square Off Discrepant Equity Cash Trade Holdings.

Shoonya’s trading platform faced a technical issue on 13th April 2023, between 9 AM to 11 AM. This blog provides a step-by-step guide to square off your discrepant holdings in the equity cash segment:

Note for Closure of Discrepant Trades

If you find any discrepant equity cash trades in your contract note that you did not initiate, you are advised to close/square them off before 9:30 AM on Monday, 17th April 2023.

How to Square Off Discrepant Equity Cash Trade Holdings on Shoonya App.

  1. Login to the Shoonya App with your credentials. (Ref Fig 1)

  1. Click on the ‘Portfolio’ tab on the bottom right of your Dashboard (Ref Fig 2) and then click on Holdings-  (Ref Fig 3)

  1. In the case of Non-POA, the client must complete the eDIS process. To initiate the eDIS process, click on the eDIS tab on the top right.- (Ref Fig 4)

        (Note- eDIS is not required for POA clients)

Enter eDIS Quantity- (Ref Fig-5)

  1. After completing the eDIS process, click on Square off (Ref- Fig 6) and sell your discrepant holdings.

Please select CNC, and place a sell order-(Ref Fig 7)

Note- Please select “ CNC” in the product type to sell your discrepant holding-

Submit your dispute case:
Once you have squared off your discrepant equity cash trades from your account before 9:30 AM on Monday, 17th April 2023, please raise a dispute case by sharing the details of discrepancies by writing to our Risk Management Department by sending an email to [email protected].

How to Square Off Discrepant Equity Cash Trade Holdings on Shoonya Web.

1. Kindly go to https://trade.shoonya.com/ and login into the Shoonya web portal. (Ref Fig 1)

2. Click the “Holdings” tab from the top right menu. (Ref Fig 2)

3. In the case of Non-POA, you must complete the eDIS process. To initiate the eDIS process, click on eDIS tab- (Ref Fig 3)

(Note– eDIS is not required for POA clients)

4. After completing the eDIS process, click on the arrow icon. (Ref Fig 5)

5. Click on ‘Exit’ and sell your discrepant holdings. (Ref Fig 6)

Note- Please select “CNC” in the product type to sell your discrepant holding- (Ref Fig 7)

Submit your dispute case:
Once you have squared off your discrepant equity cash trades from your account before 9:30 AM on Monday, 17th April 2023, please raise a dispute case by sharing the details of discrepancies by writing to our Risk Management Department by sending an email to [email protected].

How to Square Off Discrepant Equity Cash Trade Holdings on Shoonya Desktop.

  1. Log in to the Shoonya desktop using your credentials. (Ref- Fig 1)

  1. Click the “Trading” tab on the top left menu and select Holdings to check your discrepant Holdings. (ref- Fig 2)

3. Note- For POA clients, the eDIS process is not required.

You must select the discrepant holding and press F2 to sell a holding. (Ref Fig 3)

It is necessary to complete the eDIS process for Non-POAs. To initiate the eDIS process, click on the eDIS tab on the top right menu. (Ref Fig 4)

5. Complete your eDIS process by selecting discrepant holding, entering the quantity, selecting the date, and clicking ‘Generate eDIS’. (Ref Fig 5)

6.  After Completing the eDIS process, right click on the scrip and place the sell order

The process may vary slightly depending on whether you are using Shoonya Desktop, Shoonya Web, or the Shoonya App.
