Please follow these steps to register your mobile number on your Aadhaar card:

1. You must locate the nearest Aadhaar Enrolment/Update Center or Suvidha Center.

2. If you’re new to the UIDAI system, you are requested to mention your mobile number in the Aadhaar Enrolment Form.

3. Next, when you submit your form, your biometrics authentication shall be done on the spot.

4. Following the above, you will receive an acknowledgement slip from the executive assisting you.

The slip contains a unique URN- Update Request Number, which you can use to track your Aadhaar status or update.

Note- There’s no need to get another Aadhaar card after updating your mobile number.

There is only a single document required for the Aadhar Mobile Number Link, which is a self-attested copy of your Aadhar card.

3. Submit the filled form to the Aadhaar executive; you will also be required to undergo biometric verification.

4. There is a service fee of Rs 50 for the update. Pay this fee directly to the Aadhaar executive.

5. You will be handed over an acknowledgement slip that shall contain the URN- Update Request Number, which can be used to check the status of your update request.

Note- Your mobile number shall be updated in Aadhaar’s database within the period of 30 days. Please note that there are no additional documents that you have to carry except for your Aadhaar card to the nearest Aadhaar Centre and pay the fee of Rs. 50 for updating the number.
